Where are my records kept?

Only on your iPhone. HomeJot has no accounts and keeps no copy of your records. See the privacy policy for what the AI features send.

How do I move my records to a new iPhone?

Your records are included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup. Set up the new iPhone from that backup and HomeJot comes with them.

Does HomeJot work offline?

Yes. Saving, browsing, searching and reminders all work without a connection. Scanning a label, Ask and Suggest maintenance need the internet.

It says "Daily AI limit reached".

Each iPhone can use the AI features up to 30 times a day. Everything else keeps working. The count starts over every day at midnight UTC, which is late afternoon or evening in the Americas and morning in Asia and Australia.

How far can I trust AI answers?

Answers link to the records they used, and say what's missing when your records don't cover the question. Without a record to go on, the AI gives general guidance, which may not fit your exact model. Check the manual before acting, and use a qualified professional for gas, electrical and other safety work.

How do I delete everything?

In the app, go to Settings › Erase all data on this iPhone, or delete the app. This can't be undone, so keep a backup if you might want your records later.
